The architectural brief called for construction of a contemporary extension to this listed property, to integrate garden room and patio structures with the garden beyond.
The new structure was designed around existing trees and provided suspended concrete floors on traditional foundations, with wide insulation filled cavity walls supporting engineered timber joists.
Pergola structures were engineered in timber, and a combination of “dry stone” cladding and ashlar was detailed to the driveway frontage.
